No Flame - Mist Maker ReplacementUpdated 4 months ago

If you have been enjoying your Aquafire and Aquafire Pro for an extended amount of time, you may notice your "flame" getting lower and lower until it eventually disappears. This is a normal function of the Aquafire and Aquafire Pro and signals it is time to replace your mist maker(s)!

Mist makers are considered a wear item and need to be replace every 2,000 - 3,000 operating hours. This can be extended or shortened based on water quality and maintenance schedules. Testing for a dead mist maker and replacement is a simple process that the average owner can complete.

To test for a dead mist maker you will need to swap mist maker racks within your insert.

  • Unplug at least 2 mist makers
  • Swap the racks and plug them back in.
  • The non-misting side should follow the mist maker. This is a clear sign that particular mist maker is not functioning properly and needs to be replaced.

Replacing them is an easy process, please reference this quick video on the proper way to replace your mist maker
