Accessing the Water Connection After InstallationUpdated 4 months ago

Once installed, there are few reasons why you would need to directly access the water connection to your Aquafire Direct Plumb Kit or Aquafire Pro, however you will want the ability to shut off the water to the insert at certain points.

Installing an external shut off valve to the water line connected to your insert is highly recommended. This should be close and convenient to the insert.

You can also create an access panel near the water connection, to be able to manually cut off water to your Aquafire (with direct plumb kit installed) or Aquafire Pro**.

The water connection is located on the bottom left side of the insert. Please reference the photo below. 

The below picture is for the Aquafire Pro. 

The Aquafire with direct plumb kit will be in the same location but is a secondary piece

**For multiple inserts installed into one enclosure or housing, you would need to create an access panel for each insert, since they each have their own water connection. An external shut off valve is preferred in this type of installation**
